Malawi: Mango Madness

Well, the previously mentioned lake flies found their way to land and then decided to die in front of our house.

As did an “African Green Pigeon” which to be honest I thought was a parrot!  I don’t want to make a habit of putting dead creatures in my blog posts BUT I thought the colour of this pigeon was amazing!

There is certainly a lot of wildlife in Nkhata Bay, from monkeys to eagles to snakes.  There are also a lot of MANGOES which are fresh, sweet and starting to form a staple part of my diet :).

On the work front we have been busy getting repairs sorted in various cottages around the lodge and trying not to get too hot in the process.  Temperatures are averaging 30 degrees at the moment so it can be hard to stay cool…thank goodness for the lake close by.
